BANDAR SUNWAY: Students of Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus voiced out their opinions on the Rohingya issue in Malaysia.
A student studying Multimedia Design said: “First of all, I feel sorry for them but we are not responsible for them. However, we are facing huge 1MDB issue at the same time, it is impossible for us to dig out another number of money for Rohingyas.”

School of Communication’s student responded: “Keeping someone not wanted from their very own country, in terms of humanity, Malaysia’s Government is doing something good. However, in terms of the country’s relationship, it may seem intimidating towards the government and also the people of Myanmar.”
“I think it’s disgusting that they were not accepted by their countries for practicing their own believes,” said an Accounting and Finance degree student.
In late May, an estimated 7, 000 Rohingya and Bangladeshi refugees were given shelter by Malaysia and Indonesia when they were reportedly left alone for a few months at sea on unsteady boats by human traffickers.
