BANDAR SUNWAY – Taylor’s dodge ball team ‘stormed’ their way through finals and crowned as champions under the all-girls category during the Extreme Park Open 2014.
“We have entered a lot of competitions and we were always placed either second or third,” Captain of the dodge ball team, Nicole Tan shared.

Nicole have had quite a number of competitions she is particularly proud of such as the World Dodge Ball Federation Competition, when her team won third place. “But this was extra special because it was almost a whole new team of girls but we still manage to win.
Despite the win, Nicole explained that nothing is serious during training: “The training process is very free and easy. You do your own warm ups. We do not do drills. After that, we start the games.”
Wai Lynn, the secretary of the dodge ball team shared that their training usually takes about 4 hours and 15 minutes and they train twice a week. “But when we feel like it, some of us will call for extra training.”
Wai Lynn also shared: “Dodge ball is a very hands on type of sport, you do not need much training to get the hang of it. But, it is hard in terms of playing competitively.”
In dodge ball, it is all about team spirit. “I enjoy the thrill and satisfaction when playing as a team,” Wai Lynn stated.
If you are looking for a sport to play in Taylor’s, the dodge ball club is the one to choose. “Just come and join! It will be ever fun.” Nicole stated.
If you are keen on joining, you can come for trainings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.45p.m to 10.00pm at the futsal court.
